Tue 26th April - DA Meet at Arnside - 2nts
A big rolling field next to a working farm - smelly Cows. Found a level spot next to a tiny stream, £4.50pn.  Cool Tue eve and a bit of rain but glorious on Wed. Out on Scooter then a walk up toward Arnside Knott (Hill) and a ride to Silverdale and Pub lunch for SB - not brill. Found a better meet site: Gibraltar Farm - has Sea/Bay view.  Also a regular campsite - just £10 midweek incl elec.  01524 701736

Chatsworth

Fri 15th April - Caravan Club site at Chatsworth - 2nts
Linked up with M&B who were already here. Arrived around 7pm ish after a speedy drive from the MH Show at Peterborough.
Lovely site - pity about all the dogs. £26.40pn which is peak rate - Easter hols.  Mick cooked for us 1st night and on Sat we had an excellent meal at the Wheatsheaf in Baslow. SB had Steak Pie Chips & Pies - wonderful !!  Same Pub Sue & I had lunch at when we came for Leanne's Wedding - it was good then. Trip to the nice town of Bakewell on the Scooter and then stopped at Chatsworth Farm Shop on the way back.  Short walk for Sue to Baslow and long one for me around Chatsworth grounds and up to the Hunting Lodge.  Trip to village on Sunday - Church - Cemetery etc

A Caravan Club CL which we stayed at on our way to the Peterborough MH Show.
Decent flat/quiet site just off the A1 near Stamford. £12 incl elec.

Harrogate

Sat 9th April - Bilton Park Campsite - Harrogate - 1nt

A Camping Club DA meet - £7.50pn.
A pleasant site approx 4m outside Harrogate which was at the end of housing estate and over a lot of speed bumps. Big partly sloping field opposite a lot of statics.

Weather good.  Went into Harrogate for a mooch and settled in a pleasant bar in a side street for snack and drinks.

Ripon

Thur 7th April. First trip out 2011. Met up with M&B at Lakeside Camping, just outside Ripon overlooking racecourse.

Had intended to stay with a DA Meet but problem getting 2 vans together so stayed on CL at top of same field (£11.00pn plus £1.00 lecky cards).

Trip to the stunning Fountains Abbey and surrounding gardens. Must come again and take guided tour. Trip to the Pie Shop Sat AM - lovely. Weather glorious.
